Description
Full bodied and full flavor – a deeply complex English but with a smooth and mild base of Latakia along with Toasted Virginias. J.M. had blended Northwoods for himself to smoke since the early 80s, but then the customers started asking him what he was smoking and his answer was “have a bowl”. Northwoods has become one of our most popular English blends.
All Tins are Press top with a heat seal band ring and custom label on the top.
Due to our tins being a press top we do not recommend extended long term cellar time. Boswell Blends are meant to be smoked!

I love this unique blend. I would not consider it an all day smoke, but a great smoke, especially at the end of the day or around a campfire.

I heard a lot about Boswell blends and was excited to try them and am glad I did. Northwoods is one of the finest English blends I’ve smoked. Warm, rich, smokey flavours. Lights well and burns cool, a new favourite English for sure!…

A really rounded and smooth smoke that burns great all the way through with minimal relights needed. A coats shred and warm tin nose that really weta the appetite for the rich flavors to come with little bite and a nice spice.

A friend of mine and I were smoking reminiscing about the good ole days, and we were talking about blends that we really missed. In the conversation I said “Man, I would love to taste Frog Morton’s Cellar again.” He smiled and said I HAD to try Northwoods and that it was “pretty close” to FMC. He was absolutely right! It tastes very similar! It is different though (in a good way). The best way I can describe the difference is I think it doesn’t have as much of the whiskey note to it and to me seems a little sweeter. Northwoods is an absolute delight and because of the mild nature of it I think it would also be great as a first English blend for someone who is looking to go beyond aromatics. It’s great for us in the experienced audience as well! In fact I will go ahead and say that Northwoods is my new favorite blend.
