Full bodied black Cavendish tobaccos flavored with a pinch of vanilla on the finish. Extremely mild, cool smoke. Many have the idea that because a tobacco is dark in color it is strong. This is not necessarily correct. The method of curing generally determines the color of tobacco and this does not affect its strength.

I am well aware that the tastes of pipe smokers are as varied as our personalities. So it is that our choice of favorite blends varies. I believe that I have enjoyed almost all of Boswell’s aromatic blends over the last several years and would never turn a bowl any of them down. However as J.M. told me when I first started frequenting his Alexandria shop, “most smokers settle in on a favorite”. Indeed I did and Boswell Smoker’s Choice blend is it. It was no surprise for me as black Cavendish pipe tobacco has always been a preference and the Boswell blend is well named. The sweet taste and moist texture combined with a vanilla finish make it my pleasure to enjoy. Plus, it packs well and burns complete in my J.M. Boswell Handmade pipes! Truly, a great blend!
