Balanced, great flavor without being overbearing, and the honey flavor somehow finds a way of kicking up a notch about halfway through the bowl. Keeps my interest til the end of the bowl and stays lit with little or no re-lights. Great smoke, love this one.

Got a sample for the 2022 Blend Club with Muttnchop Piper. I’ll be so bold and say it in writing online; this was the best bowl of tobacco I’ve had in my relatively short time of smoking pipes, thus far. There is zero bite. A real jarred local honey flavor is present both on your nose, taking in a whiff of the un-lit tobacco, as well as from the smoke once you’re puffing away. It is so mild and easy to smoke, it’s really been a shock to my piping system.

While I’ve been enjoying my (mostly aromatic) journey of pipe tobacco this past couple years, no matter how slowly I sip from the pipe and no matter how rhythmically my cadence of draw/expel is… I seem to always get a little burn/bite in my mouth, on my tongue, or in the back of my throat from other big names of tobacco I’ve been sampling. The flavor is tasty, so they have kept me coming back, but this, my first taste of Boswell blends, is on another level altogether.

I don’t know what they’re doing differently but I’m so glad I decided to give it a try as part of this Blend Club. I’m really a believer if the first month’s selection, honey roast, is any indication of how the rest of the 11 blends will taste and feel! See you soon, my friends at Boswell. (I bought mine all in-store in Chambersburg, PA, and they just epitomize old world customer service… Bravo!)

Just tried this, will be smoking it for years. Wow. It is a lovely smoke. The honey notes are just right,

Could possibly be the best blend in the Boswell line-up! I’ve tried many aro’s over the years, including many Boswell blends. Definitely my favorite. A hidden gem, but probably not for long!
