The old dog starts off with a nice combination of spice, and tangy citrus notes that are not overpowering. There is an underlying nutty component that comes in after the first 1/4 inch. While transitioning to the second third the spice dissipates, and the nutty component come to the forefront while some aspect of leather starts to build This creates a nice complexity to the cigar. The final third the nutty begins to fade and the leather builds, and the spicy aspect reappears leaving a clean finish. The Old Dog never gets above medium bodied its a cigar anyone will enjoy.
