Gently Smoked – Vintage W.Ø. Larsen Billiard Straight Grain Pearl Grade Tobacco Pipe

Representing the absolute pinnacle of W.Ø. Larsen’s productions, the “Pearl” Grade comes from the workshop’s “Golden Era” in the 1970’s.

While W.O. Larsen used a numerical grading scale (typically 1–10) for their high-grade “Straight Grain” pipes, a “Pearl” was a pipe that exceeded the quality of a Grade 10. Unlike many W.O. Larsen pipes which were collaborative workshop efforts, a Pearl grade pipe was almost always crafted entirely by a single senior master from start to finish. 

Smooth natural finish along the Billiard shaped bowl, the beautiful straight and birds-eye grain shows exactly why this pipe was given the “Pearl” grading.

Slight charring can be seen along the crown of the bowl.  

Black acrylic tapered style mouthpiece. No chatter can be seen.
