Description
Rattray’s “146” bent Apple is one of four shapes exclusive to the marque’s Bare Knuckle series, presenting with the line’s characteristically robust construction. A tight-knit transition gives way to a remarkably thick, short, and upturned shank, cultivating a substantial feel in hand while remaining travel-friendly. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows a low-set waistline, its walls offering some delightfully plump contours to appreciate in the hand while canting forward dynamically. Seen here is the Bare Knuckle’s sandblasted finish, dressing the briar in an inky black stain and a crisp sandblast, with silver-like metal details along the end of the shank and the base of the stem.
